I am working on my Francois LaPierre & Jeanne Rimbalt family line.  My question involves some remarks in Fr.  F. J. Melanson's book , "LAPIERRE", p. i.   Melanson speaks of "Jacques LaPierre (b. 1702), the eldest son of Francois and Marie, who married Marie Forest, daughter of Pierre and Marie Richard".  I cannot find a son for Francois & Marie named Jacques, except a son by Marie Belou's first marriage, but his name is Jacques Chiasson.   Could someone help me solve this mystery?   Thanks in advance, Sherry
