There is a Robert Leslie in Miramichi who died there on 17 Jan. 1851, age 85 (87 in brackets) according to the Acadian Recorder for Saturday, 8 Feb. 1851, which reported, in his death announcement, that he "was born in Morayshire, Scotland, came out to Halifax in 1788 and shortly afterwards proceeded to Miramichi".
