Hello Listers, I am seeking an obituary for Althea JENNEX, believed to have died in 1993. This DoD is according to Peter Gergely's site: http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=drgnmastr&id=I10835 The Gergely site also indicates that she married a DELORY, given name unknown. Althea (possibly Althea Ray, or Althea W.) is d/o Louis / Lewis E. JENNEX and Ella Maud BAKER; in turn Ella Maud BAKER is d/o Cecilia SLAUENWHITE [BobH please note] and Azariah Nathaniel [Asa] BAKER. See this page http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~hegerich/b11783.htm#P11783 for more details on the SLAUENWHITE ancestry. My interest is due to a request for help involving possible children (names: Garnet and Robert) of Althea. Needless to say, I have not found an obituary in the Herald CD. I suspect this may be due to a) another surname in use at time of death or b) it wasn't published in the Herald. Any clues or hints gratefully received. Thanks, John Cordes
Update ------ I see there is a C-H listing for an obituary: 02-26-87 Jennex, Althea W. Halifax I will consult it when I get a chance (unless someone may have it...?).
