Actually, the patrol road is marked... it's the dark grey shaded line running from the Bedford Basin to the Northwest Arm. John Wilson's email said "The north blockhouse was near the present entrance to Fairview cemetery on Windsor Street, and the central driveway of the cemetery is all that remains of the old military road." So I guess it isn't a street we know today. I'd have thought that the upper part of the patrol road, north of Bayers Road and leading to the North Blockhouse, must be very close to the present day Connaught Avenue.
