    3. Eastern Chronicle, New Glasgow, N.S. Thursday, 15 Oc7 1942: PINE TREE Mrs. Marie Beach of Trenton, spent the week end here with her parents, Mr.and Mrs. Alex R. MacDonald. Mrs.Robert Riley of Middleton, Annapolis County who was the guest of her cousin, Mrs. Clifford Foote and uncle Mr. Allan Young for the past three weeks, has returned to her home. Mrs. Riley made many friends while here and enjoyed her visit very much. Mrs. Alex R. MacDonald spent Monday in Trenton visiting with friends. Rae Young, R.D.F. of the R.C.N. who spent the past two weeks here with his parents, Mr.and Mrs. Allan Young has returned to his military duties. Sergeant John Weir was visiting his parents, Mr.and Mrs. W. Weir on Saturday. Messers. Walter Cameron, Chalmers Cameron and Ross Young spent an evening at McPherson's Mills this week. Mrs. Robert Riley, Mrs. A.E. Young and Messers. Rae Young and Roddie MacDonald spent an evening last week visiting Miss Beth Stewart of Woodburn. Miss Winnie Roy of Woodburn was visiting friends in Linacy on Thursday afternoon of last week. Miss Bessie MacDonald is spending a few days in Trenton with friends. Mr. Ronald Gillis spent Saturday evening in New Glasgow with friends. Mr. Walter Cameron, Ross Young, Mrs. Robert Riley and Mrs. A.E. Young motored to Debert on Sunday to visit the latter's son, Pte. Parker Young who has been a patient in the Military Hospital there for the past seven weeks.
