An article in the above paper reads that the body of Michael Moriarty was found drowned in the water at the wharf beside the Gas Works, Freshwater, where he was employed as a night fireman. There was no reference as to who his family might be other than to say his family depended on him for support. The accident apparently happened on Saturday 4 Feb. There was also an article in the Halifax Sun and Advertiser on Monday 6 Feb referring to the same person. again no mention of family Would anybody out there have any idea who this Michael Moriarty was ??? or where the Gas Works, Freshwater was ??
