Hi Iris: I think I must have been asleep at the switch and missed something I shouldn't have. I just peeked in my file and I see that I have both Ephraim VEINOT and Gladys VEINOT (who is a SLAUENWHITE descendant by way of her mother, Mary Ellen SMITH). And while I have 12 children for Ephraim and Mary Ellen, I seem to be sadly lacking in the way of information on the spouses and descendants of said children. Looking for the death dates of Walter Smith and Harriet (Wilcox) Fraser, in the 1901 census Harriet is at her daughter’s home in New Glasgow not listed as a widow at this time, so Walter must have died after the census was taken and Harriet died shortly after. Her daughter Bessie (Elizabeth) born Australia where Walter and Harriet were married, Bessie married in Boston to Joseph Howard who was born NB, their daughter Maude DeHarker Howard born Boston she died young in Nova Scotia? Joseph and Bessie both died Boston area, as did Bessie sister Annie Fraser who never married and their cousin Bessie (Elizabeth) Fraser daughter of Walter’s brother, Alexander. When both Bessie’s husband’s died the 3 cousins all lived together in Boston, seems they all stayed close. My great grandfather was David Albert Fraser born NS died MA and married Nora Steeves born NB died Boston. They had 2 sons my grandfather Alister and his brother Walter Fraser, if you’ve read the E.C.Wright book Ethel was not Alister’s daughter but his granddaughter, his daughter’s name was Irene, and Alister’s brother was Walter, Howard was Alister’s son died 8 days old. Barb, I too am descended from Samuel Reed and Sarah Harvey through his son Duncan and Jerusha Post. I suspect this Samuel and Sarah Reid are unrelated. Or at least I have not found any such relationship in the Duncan Reed descendants. The spelling of the surname was fluid for a while. Samuel's name is Reed on his gravestone in Wolfvillee, while his brother Ezra, two stones over in the same cemetery, spells it Reid.
