The lady looking for in formation on this line who also has family she is looking for in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick and some went to MA. If you have any idea of dates on marriage, births or deaths before 1910 in MA let me know and I see if I can find them in MA vitals for you. If your Steeves line goes into the Milton or Bazley lines have a lot of information connected with a few cousins from NB and they are very helpful. Muriel -- Thank you! Would anyone know if there was a Fraser Mill in the Macon, Cumberland area in 1881 time frame or a hat shop or Fraser hat shop that Harriet could have owned or worked in? How far is Macon from New Glasgow that is where it is assumed Walter died he lived near his brother Alexander David Fraser that was married to Mary M. McGillivray. Wanda -- Could he have had a mill? As for the milliner -- that does mean hats and I have made a number of these for myself to match outfits. My father had a saw-mill - that is why I mentioned the above. Otherwise, would there have been work like milling grain into flour? Muriel ----- In the 1881 census Walter is a miller and Harriet is a milliner, does this mean he works with wood mill? And she hats? Or some other type of mill for Walter? Terminology can be different? It had been said he was a paymaster at a mine? No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition. Susan; You might want to check in New Brunswick. There were and likely still are CRAFT families in the Saint John area. If you check with the N.B. Archives on-line web site, you just might hit pay dirt. Understand that at one time, New Brunswick was considered Nova Scotia so that might be why you are getting Nova Scotia as place of birth. I have a eight (8) CRAFT family members in my data base but am unable to make that final connection to my family tree at the moment. Don
