My Godmothers were Florence MORASH (m.Wilson KNOWLES) and her sister Maude MORASH (m. John DELEDGE). As far as I know, they grew up in Millview (Bedford). I know John DELEDGE was from Holland, but I've no idea where Wilson was from. Both sisters grew up with my Dad who was born 1921 Millview, though I believe Florence was somewhat older. I'm in touch with Maude's daughter (lives in Eastern Passage area), so if you think there might be a connection, I could ring her to find out what she knows about her Mum's/Aunt's side of the family. Know there were ROSSes in Bedford too. My Dad's best mate growing up was "Doe" ROSS, but unfortunately I don't know anything about his family, nor if someone from Florence's and Maude's family married into the ROSSes of Bedford. Wouldn't surprise me though, as the area was not overly populated back then. Again if you think there could possibly be a connection, I could attempt to contact Doe's wife to ask her. > Zinck - Lunenburg Co., Will send your message on to a friend in Dartmouth who has ZINCKs of Lunenburg in his line (not a lister) .. as does Ron ZINCK who is on this list. No doubt you have been in touch with him or will be soon! Think Ron and my friend are from the same original ZINCK into Lunenburg. Toni ~ Ontario

Can't recall his first name. > Comeau You didn't say where your's are from: There were/are COMEAUs from North End of Halifax who owned a taxi firm for many years (think family still do), plus a beach area, with dance hall out on the Cobequid Rd, on First Lake in Lower Sackville in the early & mid-1950s. My cousin also married a Lloyd COMEAU of Halifax (distantly related to the previously mentioned family). Lloyd died about 25y ago, at a very young age .. 30-32. If you want further info on Lloyd's background, I could ring my cousin to obtain details. Toni

A miller ground grain into a finer product .. for instance (and general meant/means) the grinding of wheat into flour. He could have been a miller of corn, barley or any other grain. Seeking information on James Fleming FISHER (1856-1943)of Truro NS, and wife Francis Amelia MOSHER (1854-1940) of Ellershouse NS. They had no children and lived most of their lives in Medicine Hat, AB. They had many family members in Nova Scotia, and I am attempting to re-establish those lines in my work on Jim Fisher's life with the Canadian Pacific Railway. Also: Was Francis "Fannie" Mosher related to Aaron Roland Mosher (1882-1954) who led the railway union at Halifax for so many years? An aunt perhaps? Assistance is greatly appreciated and will be acknowleged in the finished work. Is there any kind soul in Pictou that can check out the newspaper obituaries of the Pictou Advocate that I believe are at the Hector Centre in Pictou? I'm searching for the death, obituary of one John McIvor, McIver who was the postmaster at Cariboo River, married to Flora McQuarrie. I believe that he died about 1893, as that is the last date of his being the postmaster there, and in the 1901 census of Cariboo River, his name is listed with his wife and family, but, it is also crossed out and his wife Flora has been changed to Widow. Still searching for this John's parentage, to pin it down to his mother being Jessie MacDonald of Pictou. Thanks for any, and all help, Marilyn, Los Angeles
