I, too, have had trouble with FTM 16. I just bought it three days ago and have yet to open the extra CD's that come with the program. I have contacted the website help, but have not heard from anyone yet. Has anyone had this issue and been able to resolve it? I am pretty savvy with technology, but am baffled by this glitch. Katherine There is an article in section B front page today re her husband and the RCMP is backing off the case bessie
Hi All: This morning, for the umpteenth time, my copy of FTM V16 announced that my file had been corrupted and that I should revert to a backup file. As always, the problem was diagnosed by the FTM File Fixer as a missing FACT0 (or some such) for individual #whatever. For over a year, the problem has consistently occurred whenever I try to use the Master Source Editor to merge two or more sources, but now it has taken to occurring at odd intervals whenever I do simple things like change someone's name and then quickly move to a new person. I suspect it is a timing problem that is probably associated with the fact that there are over 94,000 people in my file, but I have no solid evidence as to what causes this instability. I have contacted FTM support a number of times about the problem, but they apparently have no clue as to what is causing it and, from their response, give me the distinct impression that they have no interest in solving it. Fortunately, their File Fixer software is able to isolate and precisely identify the problem, which can then be fixed (manually) in the repaired file that the File Fixer generates. So the only real loss, at least for me, is the time it takes to ID and repair the problem. Which brings me to the point. The reason for this note is not to bad-mouth FTM, which I am otherwise quite happy with, but to inquire if this problem is unique to me, or whether others have experienced the same thing? -----Bob H----

We have this resource and the transcription is..(pg 96, entry # 2448, from the Acadian Recorder newspaper, Saturday, October 13, 1821) (+ indicates death) "+ 11, Oct Mr West Henley, Jr., Grafton St., 29". There is also another entry in the Canadians... Henley, West, Sr, born about 1755, died 1825. Reference found in Nova Scotia Vital Statistics from Newspapers, 1823-1828 by Jean M. Holder. We also have this reference and the transcription is (pg 50, entry # 994 from the Acadian Recorder newspaper Saturday, 19 Feb, 1825)... "+ 15 Feb Mr. West Henly [Henley], Sr. 70." We don't have the Acadian Recorder newspaper on Microfilm but the Nova Scotia Archives and Records Management does, and you have the information to request a copy from them online at www.gov.ns.ca/nsarm. Hello Everyone I am searching for information about my g grandmother Susan. She was born Susan Bawden in Cornwall, England abt 1863 and immigrated to Halifaz in December 1880 with three of her sisters. She married John Eli Emino in 1887 and then James Shrum in 1902. She had a daughter in Dec. 1899 which she gave the last name Ware to, although I cannot find any record of that marriage. To confuse matters a James William Cribby, son, was the informant on her death certificate in 1933. Again I cannot find any record of that marriage either. If any of this sounds remotely familar to anyone I would love to hear from you. Cheers, Paula Jones No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition. Would anybody know where I could go to find the obits from 2006. I tried the Herald but the cost is 5-10 dollars /obit, that was the best they could offer me.?The 2007 obits file that I saved on my computer had become damaged and as a result I can not open the file to obtain the data.
