Can anyone find a birth for him ? I wonder why that stone is in St. Marys ? This is the only newspaper announcement of his death I can see : Salisbury. Alexander Dashwood, to Marian Still, youngest daughter of Peter Still, Esq. of Devonshire-place. Morning Post London, England 16/05/1827 Article According to a tree on rootsweb , Marian Still was born Tytherley, Hants in 1804 . OK , James Still was born about 1799 so its possible his father , Peter Still could have lived in Notts prior to his move to a posh part of London (Devonshire Place) but no evidence , so a mystery !
