Thanks to all the people who have tried to help me in my search for the elusive William Moore. I have had a message from Valerie (thanks again) telling me she has found a christening of a William Moor, son of John Moor, in 1792 in Wollaton. Wollaton is approximately three miles from Trowell apparently and the two parishes were adjoining at that time. Is it possible for anyone to check the original entry for me? Would do it myself, but as I live in Perth in Western Australia it makes it a little bit difficult! This seems like a likely lead to me, as his first-born was called William and his second-born was named John. TIA - Marj
