Dear Hugh I am writing an open letter to you, via this list, concerning a response by a woman signing herself "jennifer woolard <jgwoolard@hotmail.com>" to a reply by Roy Stockdill. I respectfully request that this woman be required forthwith to make a written apology on this list not only to Roy Stockdill but also to all of us who are members of Nottsgen. If she fails to do so forthwith, I respectfully suggest she be banned for the list until such times as she does apologise. She writes: "Talk about a self opionated wanka - get your head into the real world Roy and stop making everyone, who may not have the same where-with-all as you, feel like second class citizens or family historians". This is the most disgraceful, nay disgusting comment that I have ever seen either on this Nottsgen. List or any other list or forum for that matter. Many years ago, when I joined this list and other lists, it was made clear, the "house rules" and that one had to conduct oneself as if a guest in a house and behave accordingly. Clearly, this "jennifer woolard" woman is either unaware of such etiquette or chooses to ignore same. Her comments relating to Roy Stockdill are akin to libel. Quite simply, they are insulting. I want to make it clear that I have no connection with Roy Stockdill, other than I see postings on this list by him. I wonder if this "jennifer woolard <jgwoolard@hotmail.com>" would like to explain what she means by the word "wanka". I cannot find it in my dictionaries. In case any readers should think I am not "street wise", please allow me to comment that I spent almost 30 years of my career, on the streets of Greater Manchester at the sharp end of crime, hardened criminals and have met all sorts of people from beggars, murderers to Royalty.
