Hi Listers, I would greatly appreciate it if someone would inform me on the details of the marriage of George Thornton and Ann Holmes in Nottinghamshire. It was probably a Church of England wedding, and it happened around 1850. It could have been a few years before that, but would not have occurred after 1853. The Thornton and Holmes families had ties to Cotgrave, Edwalton and, to a lesser degree, St. Mary's in Nottingham; but I am not certain about the parish where the marriage would have occurred. Ann was born in 1824, and George was born in about 1820. Thank you very much for any assistance you can give with this. Bob
