Hello list. In my Nottsgen digest this morning, message #2 was from Michael Ireson (mireson@talktalk.net) with the subject line Ireson/Raynor familyhistory Nottm but no message. Yesterday I started looking for my own RAYNOR family on ancestry.co.uk and I'm wondering if Michael has in his tree MARY ANN RAYNOR born calculated 1842, maybe in Calow near Chesterfield, Derbyshire. She married JABEZ LIEVESLEY on 13 Nov 1864. I can't find her or her family on a census before her marriage; I think it's because there are so many possible name combinations between Mary, Ann, Marianne, and Raynor, Rainer, Rayner etc. On her marriage registration she says her father's name is Joseph RAYNOR. At the time of her marriage, she could have been living with her grandfather, JOHN RAYNOR (born cal 1795 in Nottingham) and her aunt (John's daughter) could have been ELIZABETH RAYNOR (born cal 1817) and Elizabeth married JOHN CRAVEN. I know it's a long shot, but do any of these names match anyone in your Raynor tree? Jill in Canada
