This does happen. I have one familly early 20th C where one is born in Notts all others Dewsbury Yorks - They were miners. I went to college in Bucks. There were lots of lacemakers in Beds and Bucks in 19th C. (Before my time!) Do you have more details of which Middx place? That could have been London anyway - seeking to sell work made? Visiting a family and caught short? People did travel, especially for work.
