    3. Hi List I am researching the family of BOWN from Nottingham for a colleague in work and wondered if there was SKS who could help me solve a mystery. I have aquired the Will of Reuben BOWN born 1898 died in Guernsey, parents William John BOWN and Ellen WRIGGLESWORTH. In the Will he states that one of his requests is that a plaque is put on the grave of his parents in The General Cemetery, Nottingham. Grave No.17118, Plot No.399-10-8, Vol 346 with the inscription as follows:- "In loving memory of Ellen BOWN nee Wigglesworth, wife of William John Bown died 1917 also William John Bown died 1948 from their son Reuben and daughter-in-law Linda and also other sons and daughters including baby son Arthur" That is where the mystery comes in who is Arthur. Would it be possible for someone if living nearby could go and photograph the plaque or just see what was put on there, if any dates were put for Arthur. I live in South Wales and another relative who would love to find out is living in Taiwan so to far for us to travel. Regards Patricia

That has the birth of an Arthur Bown at Nottingham in the Sep qtr of 1903 (7b 373) and the death of an Arthur Bown, aged 3, also at Nottingham in the Sep qtr of 1906 (7b 247). -- Roy Stockdill Professional genealogical researcher, writer & lecturer Newbies' Guide to Genealogy & Family History: www.genuki.org.uk/gs/Newbie.html "There is only one thing in the world worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about."
