    3. Hi, I'm looking for any information on my grandfather's family. I've done quite a bit of research but have yet to connect him to anyone living in England (or anyone other than my immediate family), and so think he and his brother may well be the end of a line of Boothbys. Looking for correction or confirmation. My grandfather was: John Oswald Boothby, born Sleaford December 20, 1903 His brother is Stanley Boothby, born Sleaford 1905 His father was John Willie Boothby, b. High Bickington, Devon 1882(3); His mother, Alice Drury, b. Boston 1880; died during the 1918 influenza. Any clues as to burial location: death certificate reads: November 24, 1918: 37 Kingsley Road, Nottingham South East; The parents married in Bawtry with Austerfield in 1902, had two children while living at 19 Millfield Terrace, Newsleaford, England, UK; At the time, John Willie Boothby was employed as a brewer’s traveler; By 1911, the family relocated to Nottingham where the parents ran the Prince Alfred Public Inn (Public House), Heathcote Street, Nottingham. Does anyone have any information about the pub's history - whether the building still exists, is it still an inn/pub? I'm also looking to confirm whether a property in Frithville - Ivy House on Carrington Rd, PE22 7DY - was inherited and inhabited by John Willie Boothby sometime between 1918 & 1930; if so, I'd also like to know what happened to it (eg. willed to sons and sold, or sold before, etc). John Oswald Boothby left the UK in 1928, lived in the US until 1939 when he moved to Canada. He returned to England c. 1942. where he had an aunt by the last name of Martin, living Swinburne Grove, Manchester. Any information on her and her family would also be greatly appreciated. Mostly, I'm looking for proof of death; the last trace I have of him is a passenger list where he is leaving Southampton for Singapore, then Australia. I have a million more questions but will wait to see what this brings. Any related information would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks, Michelle
