Hello All, I'm new to the overseas research. I've been doing family research for about 10 yrs but this is my first time at going abroad - so to speak (smile). My 2nd great grandfather (my grandmother's grandfather) was William Beeton who immigrated from England to America in 1864. He died in Utah around 1934/1935. On his death certificate it states he was born in Nottingham on May 31, 1843. What I'm wondering is how to obtain a birth certificate that might give his parents names. His death certificate says his father was a John - but I find no William's in the 1851 and 1861 Census of this age, that's father's name is John. There is one William who would fit and his father is listed as Henry? Can anyone give me some Idea's on what to do and where to go from here. It would Truly be appreciated. Thank you Warmest Regards, Tammy Idaho, USA **************A Good Credit Score is 700 or Above. See yours in just 2 easy steps! There was a John Beighton married to Martha Mason at St. Marys, Nottm. on 21 Sept. 1832. They appear to have had at least 5 children one of which was William on 25 Jan. 1835. They lived at Fletcher Gate and later Mount Street. John was a cow keeper. This is all from Notts FHS CD's Good Hunting, David Atkin Shropshire, England.
