    3. Hello: I found my great grandfather, William Bramley listed in the 1881 cencus. At the time he is listed as a Stone Quarry Worker. Would anyone know where there was a stone quarry in Bulwell and what kind of stone do they quarry. Also, where in Bulwell would one be a flower pot maker. I'm trying to get a feel for what my ancestors lives must have been like. I know that Willliam Bramley was born in Bulwell in 1856, but there are several William Bramleys listed, How would I go about finding the right one? On the other side of the family, Parnham, my Great grandfather in 1871 is listed as living in Normanton, notts and is listed as a Police Constable. I knew there were some disreputable people in my family background but not this bad, Police, argggg. So in 1881 he is listed as living in Bulwell and listed as a labourer. Why would someone leave off being a police constable and move. Is there any way to find out. And yes I am sure it is the right person. Just a few questions that I thought someone on the list would have some thoughts about. As I live a rather isolated life (very small town) nottsgen people are the only ones I can ask about these things. Thanks, Barbara
