Hello Barbara, I remember "Springhead",it was quite a large house at the end of a drive and was situated on Cinderhill Road,Bulwell. Until I was almost twelve years old I lived at Cinderhill Rd and in those days there used to be two railway bridges. We lived just through the first bridge and "Springhead" was nearest to the second bridge which was the one closest to Bulwell. It was situated on the left hand side of the road and where the prefabs finished.I went there a few times with my grandfather though cannot remember why. "Springhead" was,in the 1960's,used by the NCB for,I think,an x-ray department. I vaguely recall that a doctor had lived at "Springhead"...could have been Dr Wood (?) but I am not too sure as it was a very long time ago. Regards, Elizabeth.
