Hi Elizabeth. I looked on a map where Cinderhill Road was and that looks about in the general direction that I remember. But as I said, it was a long time ago and I was only 5 or 6. I was born in Bulwell and moved to Canada when I was 7. So memories are not the most accurate. I didn't know that there were prefabs in that direction. I lived in the prefabs off Squires Avenue, on Norwich Road. Wanting to know about Springhead was just to fill in some background about my grandmother's life. I have always been interested in history and how ordinary people lived. And thank you to everyone who tried to answer my questions. I did find a site on Rootsweb called Parnham1 that was a direct link back from Annie Rebecca Parnham. So I am doing alright with that side of the family. The other side, Bramley is giving me a little more trouble. And then there is my dad's side of the family. My dad was a Polish airman who came to England in 1940. All his family is still in Poland and I don't speak Polish. So as that side is going to prove a little more problematic, I am concentrating on the English half first. On the Bramley side, I know my cousin, Pauline Taylor, of Bulwell, used to be on this list, but we have lost touch again. So if anyone knows her, or if she sees this posting, please get in touch with me.
