Diane, The only marriage I can find of a James William FIRMAN in Nottingham during 1903 was that to Alice Elizabeth POLE. [Nottingham, March Quarter, Volume 7b, Page 450]. James William FIRMAN was probably born in Nottingham during 1880 [Nottingham, March Quarter, Volume 7b, Page 319] the son of Henry William FIRMAN (an oil miller) & Louisa SANDERS, married 25 December 1877. He was baptised 6 September 1882. The only Alice May FIRMAN born after 1903 I could find was one born during 1907 in Kingston, Middlesex. I could find no FIRMAN/BRACKENBURY or FIRMAN/HORBLING marriages. I hope this is helps. Alice, Adding to what John has told you, FreeBMD has no birth marriage or death of anyone with the surname HORBLING, so I suspect that is a mistranscription. However searching free BMD (not complete, and with some errors) found no BRACKENB* (to allow for BRACKENBERRY etc) marring an Alice whose surname began with H. I think you have a bit of a mystery on your hands:-) There is a birth in London Alice May BRACKENBURY Dec 1904 St. Geo. H.
