Have you accidentally turned on double line spacing? To find out, (and correct) highlight the text in your document, right click. You will find copy/paste and paragraph, click paragraph where you will also find line spacing. Sometimes I have found it on format - paragraph - line spacing You can have normal one and a half or two. If it shows you are on two, just return the marker to one and click ok!
