    3. Hello all I'm not sure whether this is of relevance or interest to you but I have birth certificates for eight children born between 1838 and 1858 in Arnold to William Wells and Ann Wells (formerly Stafford). William is described as Stocking maker, later FWK, and there is no detail of address beyond "Arnold" until 1853 (top end), 1858 (Queen street). I believe that my mother was descended from one of these eight, Samuel b. 1850. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Laurie Caron" <lcaron0822@rogers.com> To: "'andrew ronald hamilton'" <ron_hamilton@talktalk.net>; "'NOTTINGHAMSHIRE'" <NOTTSGEN@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, April 26, 2009 10:59 PM Subject: Re: [NTT] STAFFORD FAMILY @ BASFORD > Hi Ron, > > I not a descendant, but I wouldn't be surprised if I was somehow related > to > this Stafford family. 1. [NTT] STAFFORD FAMILY @ BASFORD
    2. Laurie Caron
    3. The Nottingham CD shows the marriage of William Wells and Ann Stafford on 19 Apr 1835 in Arnold. But, of course the parents are not shown. I am stuck there too. I've seen an online tree somewhere that indicated that Ann Stafford, wife of William Wells, was the daughter of Samuel Stafford and Mary Noon - I just cannot find any sources to prove that. I've also seen something that refers to an Ann (Hannah) Stafford, born about 1814) daughter of Henry Stafford and Sarah Mayfield (my direct ancestors), but I cannot even find a baptism record for this child of Henry and Sarah. I will post again if I find any further info.
