Dear List I am looking into the death of my 3 X Great Grandfather, George Davison. He died 11th December 1882 in "Her Majesties' Prison Nottingham USD". His cause of death is listed as "Heart disease, death being accelerated by grief at the deceased being made a prisoner for non-payment of a debt". There was an inquest held 12th December 1882. How do I go about finding out more about his court case and inquest? I googled "Nottingham Prisons". I could only find one that opened in 1890. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
