Hi JK By all means copy my use of the actual census date for BEFs and AFTs - I probably got the idea from someone else in the first place ;-) If you need a full list of dates, try http://rmhh.co.uk/dates.html, though I see 1911 release date hasn't been updated yet. Re: entering GRO quarter dates - if I see something along the lines of "Bet Jan-Mar 1850", I tend to recognise it as GRO entry. I also record the district, vol and pg details in the notes field. It's another reason why I try to find the corresponding baptism (or burial) and adjust the date range accordingly.
