Hello List, Could I please ask for your assistance in finding what Institute would be on Peachy Street in the early 1900s please. We have what we think is a phone number 391011 Peachy Street ( or could be a street address 391D11 Peachy Street ). Its possible it was a Institute for the blind or a Institute Bill's Dad may have attended ?. Your help and guidance would be very much appreciated. Cheers for now, Pat and Bill
Peach Street was in the Narrow Marsh area, demolished in the 1930's. To the best of my knowledge there is/was no Peachy Street. The number quoted would not be a phone number, what few phones there were would have only had 3 digit numbers at the very most. Could it be a map grid reference? Try this link below for info on Peach Street, though it doesn't help you find your "institute". Have you tried the 1901 census?
