I have a photo of a large marble plaque that was relocated from the ruins of South Wheatley church to North Wheatley. The plaque is dedicated to St Helen who was the patron saint of the church at South Wheatley. It's quite large and I assume would have been quite expensive. It's nearly 30 lines of Latin text. I'd hate to be paying by the letter. It seems to date from about 1671. It mentions Johannes Booth, Catherina Holder, Thomas Holder and Agnetis (Holder?). There's also mention of London on 18th day of August (poss 1671) I wonder if anyone from the area has seen the plaque and has a transcription from the Latin text or can help identify the families.
