    3. A large marble plaque in North Wheatley church stands to the memory of Catherine Holder (nee Booth) who died in London on 18th August 1672, her daughter Agnes Holder and her father John Booth. It was erected by her husband Thomas Holder and was relocated from the ruins of St Helens, South Wheatley. I've had the plaque translated from the original Latin text. Catherine was one of three children of John Booth and Gertrude. A son John and daughter Anna died without issue. Catherine married Thomas Holder, a knight. Their only know child Agnes looks to have died about the same time as her mother. I'm wondering if anybody can identify Thomas Holder or any of the family. If they were in London, I'm guessing he might be at court. For interest only, can anybody identify old feast days. Agnes died three days after the day dedicated to the "Happy Finding of the Holy Cross by St Helen" Peter Peter BOOTH - Family Historian, SYDNEY --------------------------------------- (Enquire about Growing your Family Tree)

    3. David, Sorry. That was my next move. I was concentrating on the post. Thanks for the prompt reply. By the power of Wikipedia, it looks like I can name my own date Mar, May, Sept or Oct As Catherine died in August, my guess would be that her daughter Agnes died soon after. So Sept looks appropriate. It could be related to child birth. Peter
