The Crown Inn you mention was built at the same time as the Ring Road and dates from the 1930s, so has no connection with Crown Yard. I do believe though that its name was transferred from another Crown Inn. The William Harrison I advised previously from the 1891 census is still the only one I can find that matches i.e. born 1882 in Nottingham. This may sound a silly question, but it's happened before, to me for example, but are you certain that you have the correct GGrandfather?
