Both families were members firstly of Castle Gate Congregational Church and later were ery instrumental in setting up Hyson Green Independent Chapel. The current chapel, now called Gregory Boulevard United Reformed Church has windows dedicated to the Cockayne family, and they crop up in the church records quite a bit after about 1800. They were also friends of the Durose family - if anyone has any info on the Wright or Durose family I would be grateful. > > Liz p > > > > Sent from my iPhone > > > > On 24 Feb 2012, at 17:26, "Jim Ward" <[email protected]> wrote: > > > >> Hello, > >> I wondered if anyone might have access to information on my ancestor Robert COCKING who married a Dorothy [unknown surname] I would say about 1824 in the area of Tuxford and Weston, Nottinghamshire.
