    1. [NTT] Lookup Joseph HAYCOCK
    2. Bruce P Barrett
    3. Dear List, I am looking for the birth/christening of Joseph Haycock. Based on census records he was born in Worksop, Nottinghamshire. His date of birth ranges from 1823 to 1831. Are the parish records online? I really appreciate any help. Thanks Bruce Heath, Ohio

    3. Hi, If you downloaded the transcript page, all you need to do is scroll down and it will give you the institution name at the bottom left hand corner. It doesnt give ANY institute name at all on the original schedule (the image I mean) I used the 1911 to find out about my Grandmother, who was raised by 'nuns' after both her parents died within a month of each other. I havent had cause to look at any other institutions at the moment, so not totally sure if this only applied to Marston Green or not. 3. Roy, I don't know if you have found the answer to your question yet, but I took the opportunity to look up the entry while I was at The NAtional Archives yesterday - there's no charge for the census there. Joseph OOAKLAND, 60, widower, Lace bleacher, born Nottingham City was in the Nottingham Workhouse, Bagthorpe, Notts. The ful reference of the page is RG14, Piece 20672, Reg. Dist430, Sub.Dist. 5, Enum.Dist. 39, Sched. No. 9999. (If anyone is wondering why there's no RG78 number, there doesn't appear to be an RG78 number for an institution. Just for reference, the other two Joseph OAKLANDs in Notts were Joseph (48) and Harriett (44) and family at 14 Carnarvon Grove, Carlton. The family included 3 y.o grandson Laurence WEALTHDALE; and Joseph (55) & Caroline and family at Birch Avenue, Carlton Hill. regards, Dai Roy Langham wrote: > Dear nottsgen. 3. Dear list, I know this is a long shot. I found a posting by Tony Crick in 2001. He was looking for information on Fanny Jane HAYCOCK who married Elijah William CRICK Sep 1888 in Sheffield. An email to his address bounced. Fanny Jane's father is Joseph Haycock who was born in Worksop about 1830. If Tony is still active could you please contact me. I would appreciate anyone researching this family to contact me at brucepbarrett@roadrunner.com or brucepbarrett@gmail.com. Thanks Bruce Barrett Heath, Ohio

    1. [NTT] ROBINSON Deaths
    2. sharon
    3. Hello All, Richard ROBINSON and his wife, Isabel (nee WOODWARD of Farnsfield), died in March and April 1827 of typhoid fever. They had several children Charles, Richard, Hannah, Elizabeth, Isabella, and Maria. The oldest was born about c1815. Does anyone know where these children might have gone what might have happened to these children when the parents died? Would there be any parish records that might tell about the status of the children? Where are the parents buied? I presume they are buried in the graveyard at Edwinstowe but I have been proven wrong so many times that I hesitate to state that as fact. Any help anyone might be able to give me would be very welcome. Sharon in Arizona

    1. [NTT] Coroner's Inquest 1862
    2. Stephen Andrews
    3. I am hoping that someone on the list will be able to point me in the right direction. I have purchased a death certificate of a George Lambert who died 1st September 1862 in Littleborough, aged 8 years. The cause of death is given as Natural Causes. However what intrigues me is that the Signature, description and residence of informant contains the following "Information received from Chas. S. Burnaby, Coroner for Nottinghamshire. Inquest held 3rd September 1862" The death was registered 2 days later on the 5th September 1862. Was it normal to hold an inquest on a child's death in 1862? Or is there more likely something else to this story I do not yet know? Additionally, I was hoping the death certificate would give me a clue to his parent's, however, helpfully it states "Son of Labourer". Would the Coroner's Inquest records tell me anymore? Have they been published, or can someone direct me in the right direction to find them? Thanks in advance for the advice of the list. 3. I think I have found him with his family in 1861. I have sent you a copy off list. You dont get any family info on a death certificate unless its a relative that registers the death, then you might get a relationship. I have been thanking everyone individually, however, disaster struck my household once more and all the cards have got mixed up together!! So I don't know who I have replied to!! I reckon Harry (my Yorkie) had a paw in it somewhere!! I will be trying to match them up with e mails I have already sent but it may take some time and probably wont be totally succesful - so if you don't hear from me please accept this e mail as my thanks to you. Hopefully, there will be a photo when it's all finished.
