Dear Norwood List, As most of you know, a life long Norwood family researcher, G. Marion Norwood Callam, died last year, age 99. She did not leave any directions for what was to happen to her 60 years of research. With the kind permission and assistance of an heir, Rev. Andrew Norwood, last week in London, I divided up her world-wide research into 3 groups: county Kent, Great Britain and the rest of the world. I deposited the Kent research at the Sheerness library, the UK work at the Society of Genealogists and the rest I have. I am looking for a suitable repository for the material she received from dozens of American and Canadian Norwoods so I would like to hear your suggestions. Because of the amount of the material and cost to mail, I had to send most of it by surface mail which means I won't receive it until after Jan. 1 2005. If you, your mother or father or grandparents were in contact with Mrs. Callam between 1955 and 1999, I may have letters, photographs, research and books they sent to her. I would like to hear from you as you may wish to have these items returned to your family. Please respond to me by private e-mail. Also, if you are not aware that she spent the last 30 years of her life compiling all the material she had received into "The Norwoods III" which was published by a good friend Tony Hedges a few years before her death.
