His father was William NORWOOD deceased. Married at St Jude's in Upper Chelsea, Middlesex. Best wishes -- Hugh Norwood Beware of Geeks bearing GIFs... 1. [NORWOOD] Scottish Norwoods - red herrings

Hi Cousins, In message <[email protected]>, Hugh Norwood <[email protected]> writes > <snip> >> >>The 1881 England census shows my great Grandfather Henry NORWOOD as a 35 >>year old male born in Ayr, Scotland. (gives 1846 or thereabouts) >> > <snip> <snip> I have spent a fruitful time at my local public library. I have located Henry NORWOOD (great grandfather) on the 1851, 1871, 1881, 1891 and 1901 census. The "born in Ayr, Scotland" entry on the 1881 census is a red herring - it's fairly obvious from the other entries that Henry was born in Flamstead, Hertfordshire, (England). 1851 shows him as a 9 year-old scholar living with his parents and siblings in Market Street. Father was William and mother was Eliza. 1871 shows him and his brother Alfred lodging in London. Can anyone demonstrate a connection with their lines?
