    3. Hi All! If I've managed to do this right, this email should be going to all the Norwood cousins I've been in contact with as well as to the NORWOOD mailing list in case there's some out there I missed. :) I was finally able to make another update to the web site this weekend. My health problems at the beginning of the year took a turn for the worst in April and have just now started to get better. I'm certainly hoping that will be a continuing trend as I haven't been able to do much of anything, let alone research since then. This update consists mostly of info I've had for awhile and just found the energy to put together in some kind of coherent format. Major updates: NEBRASKA - Update to info on Phebe Norwood Update to info on Louis Norwood Update to info on George W. Norwood NEW JERSEY - Update to info on Cornelius Norwood Added gen report on possible Norwood branch from England Update to 1880 census info NEW YORK - Added gen report on possible lineage of Andrew S. Norwood For those interested in Louis Norwood, I did finally get a copy of his pension file and the relevant info it contained is on his page. For those interested in George W. and Cornelius Norwood, I'm about 95% sure that we've got this branch connected in the right place. Which makes all us Northern Nebraska Norwoods cousins of some degree or another! I'd still feel better with more evidence though, so I'll continue to keep looking for more records. I also found more info on George's three brothers which is on the page for Cornelius. The two gen reports are in a different format than the rest of the web site as they are for research purposes only. I know there are others working on these branches so I wanted to be able to get up what I had found so far even though I hadn't made a solid connection to the rest of the line yet. If you need source documentation for a particular fact, let me know and I'll dig up where I found it. Let me say flat out that I believe the lineage in the gen report on the Norwood branch supposedly from England to be WRONG. For that reason I'll continue to work further on this line as time permits. I list it here as I found the info in one of the county history books in New Jersey. I suspect that we will find that if this Benjamin's father's name was indeed Andrew (I'm not sure that it was), that he did not come from England but was instead one of the Andrew's that we already know about in NJ or NY. I have a working theory on this but don't want to speculate to that degree. The lineage in the gen report on Andrew Sickles Norwood is *probably* correct but I have only secondary sources and circumstantial evidence. I have my doubts on some of the vitals listed and some serious questions that need answered. I'll keep working on it but there are just so many Andrew Norwoods in the various NY records that it is sometimes seems next to impossible to tell who is who. So until we find better source documentation, this lineage has to be treated as possibly suspect. As always, let me know if you have any suggestions, questions, additions, or corrections. I look forward to hearing from you! TAFN! Irene (new email address [email protected]) http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~norwood/
