Well, ask a question, get an answer plus another, and bigger, question. :) Went to NARA today to see if I could find Richard Norwood in the 1880 census for New Jersey even though he didn't seem to be in the index. And I found him with his youngest daughter. Cyrus C. Corby 36 NJ NJ NJ Anna 35 Wife NJ NJ NJ Walter N. 13 Son NJ NJ NJ Anna N. 1 Dau NJ NJ NJ Richard Norwood 75 Father NJ NJ NJ Maria Norwood 45 Aunt Eng Eng Eng What? WHO??? "Aunt" Maria Norwood? Born in England? With parents born in England? No, no, no. How could they do this to me? How creative am I going to have to be to figure out who this is? Why didn't they tell the census taker to leave a little more detailed explanation as to how this person fits in the family. So their humble descendant could figure it out 120 years later? How could they leave me hanging like this? <Sigh> :) Irene
