Hi! I sent for a bunch of Civil War records a few months ago. After receiving several discouraging "No, we were unable to locate the file you requested above" notices, I finally got two hits today. I'm hoping someone here might recognize one or both of these two men enough to tie them to their families. Charles Henry Norwood (served from New Jersey) b. abt 1825 m. (1) Elizabeth Conklin, (2) Laura J. Ward children: John, Esther, Benjamin, Nellie, Charles, Helen, Edna parents: Joseph Norwood & Bridget or Betsy Wright (Any ideas to the parents of Joseph? I working on a hunch that he may be the brother of my 2nd great grandfather.) Richard Norwood (served from New York and Pennsylvania) b. abt 1830 m. Matilda Thompson children: none named (possibly didn't have any as they married the year before the war and he died soon after he returned, having seen his wife only once in between) parents: none named (drats!) (Any idea to this Richard's parents?) Thanks for any help! Irene
