November Session Ordered that Elias, (a boy of Colour) be bound to Caleb Norwood to learn the Art or Mystery of a Tanner & Currier, and that he will give Said apprentice when free a Set of Tools Suitable to his trade and $100.00 in money, and otherwise comply with the Law in Such case provided, and the Said Caleb Norwood came into Court & entered into bond with John Irwin, Security, in the Sum of $500 as by Law required. Book 6 page 442. 1822. November Session C & E. Elms to use of C. Norwood vs Wallis Blalock. Same Jury only Thomas Sprott & Samuel Graham in the room of James Porter & Jno. Canon. Ordered that Caleb Norwood Administer on the Estate of Seymore Taylor, Deceased, who appeared in Court & Qualified & entered into bond with Wm. Same Jury as in No. 47 Except Joseph Hunter in the place of William Scott, Jury find all the issues in favor of the plaintiff & access the plantiffs Damage to $751.12 of which $566.56 is principal money.
