Hi! Yesterday, I finally received a response from NARA regarding my request for the records of Lewis Norwood that I sent them back in August. (I'd just about given up on them.) Apparently, they don't have anything to match the data that I had: Lewis Norwood b. May 12, 1867 in Chickasaw, IA d. unknown wife: Elizabeth (d: 1915) served in the army in the late 1800s to early 1900s? was in NY state in 1900 But, they do have the following file: Louis Norwood b. unknown in unknown d: 1/27/1930 in unknown widow: Myrtle Spanish-American War So, before I send this back and wait with held breath for another four months (hopefully I'm exaggerating), does anyone here recognize this Louis Norwood as one of their relatives from somewhere other than IA and thus couldn't possibly be the guy I'm looking for?
