Dear Listers! I have today learned of a tragic event in Seattle, WA which I hope someone can help me «clarify»? Bertha Hendrickson from Luster Co., Norway (1859-1943) was married in Tacoma, WA July 21, 1900 to Alfred Adams, a Seattle, WA teamster, supposedly born in Missouri about 1865. Then I find the death record of Alfred ADAM(!) in Seattle, WA on Dec. 24, 1901 - cause of death: FRACTURE OF SKULL! I have no idea what happened, but the cause of death suggests a criminal act, unless he had a very tragic accident!? In both cases I presume there should be a newspaper write-up about the incident, which I hope can be found?
