I am looking for information about the following: Carl Frederik Christoffersen -I have his baptism 4 April 1880 in Bragernes kirke, Drammen. I can find no other information about him. He did immigrate to the US. There is a last name change here. His parents Frederik Martinus Olsen I have his baptism 1 June 1857 Bragernes kirke, Drammen. No other information. He married Inger Elise Carlsen-no information on her at all. His parents Olaus Christoffersen. I have his baptism 26 February 1825 Stromso kirke, Drammen. No other information. He married Anne Kristine Olsdatter-no information on her at all. His parents, Christoffer Myhre and Elen Maria Johansdatter-no information. I have been unable to find marriages, information on any of the women nor any of the people on the 1865, 1875 or 1885 censuses. Where am I going wrong? Thank you for any help. I think this may possibly be the wrong family because in 1875 in the census Reina found he was working as a blacksmith's apprentice/assistant. In 1880 when Carl Fredrik was born, he was still a smedsvend. I'm not sure, of course, but unless something happened where he could no longer do blacksmithing, it seems like an odd occupation change.
