    3. Listers, following up on previous messages about Sons of Norway activities, I wanted to let you know about a couple of things coming up.  This is not a comprehensive list, but includes things in which I am personally involved. On Saturday, February 18, I will be conducting a Norwegian genealogy class/workshop in Kennewick, Washington, for our local Sons of Norway lodge here in the Tri-Cities.  I realize this is probably not near any other listers, but if by some chance you should have an interest in attending, please contact me for the details. There is a minimal fee for attendance, but we still have plenty of room to add attendees.  On Saturday, March 11, the Bothell Sons of Norway lodge will hold their annual Heritage Day.  Listers in the Puget Sound area may be interested in attending, and admission is free (although attendees will almost certainly want to buy food and baked goods).  A full description of all the activities is included on the Bothell Sons of Norway webpage.  I will be there to help people with their genealogy or just to talk about family history with attendees, as I do every year.  If you should happen to attend, please drop by to say hello. Then, on Friday and Saturday, April 7 & 8, I will be conducting two days of genealogy classes/workshops in Spokane for the Sons of Norway lodge there, with likely participation also from members in the Coeur d'Alene lodge.  There is a minimal fee for attending but reservations will be required and daily attendance will be limited to ensure that I have time to work with every attendee on specific questions they may have.  If anyone is interested in attending one of those days, you can contact me for details. I should clarify that I participate in Sons of Norway events like this as a cultural resource volunteer and that the fees that are collected go to the Sons of Norway lodges hosting the events.  And attendance is NOT limited only to Sons of Norway members. I have learned a lot from the Norway List over the years, and it is fun and very fulfilling to be able to show others how to pursue their heritage.  And, of course, I always mention the Norway List as one of the great resources out there to help people.
