Dear Listers! Christie Urness (1851-1930) from Hafslo parish, Luster Co., Norway married Ira Pool (1844-1910) and lived in Minneapolis, MN. They had several children, including daughter: * Luella Mae Pool (1882-1946). She married in Minneapolis, MN Oct. 5, 1905 this gentleman: Herbert Lawrence CARROLL supposedly born in Hennepin Co., MN in 1882(?) Herbert left his wife about 1915, and his later whereabouts are unknown. But maybe information can be found thanks to: DeForest J. CARROLL, his father, died in Minneapolis, MN Sep. 10, 1921 Horten Green CARROLL, his brother, died in Sioux Falls, SD May 8, 1938 Could it be that Herbert Lawrence is mentioned in the obituary of at least one of them?? Lars, I found DeForest on Page 9 of the Minneapolis Star for Tuesday, September 13, 1921. There was no obituary, just a death notice which said "DeForest J Carroll, 77, Soldier's Home". It didn't even give a date of death. I could find no obituary for any days before or after this. I found Horton Green Carroll on Page 16 of the Argus-Leader for Tuesday, May 17, 1938 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Again, I couldn't find an obituary.
