    3. Did I say Halvor Halverson.  His name was Halvor Anderson.  My great grandfathere was Ole Anderson.  I don'the know if it was ...sen or ...son.  Just to review.  They were from Skjerpe farm, Notteroy parish, Vestfold fylke.ARLENESent from my Verizon 4G LTE smartphone -------- Original message -------- From: Barbara Young <[email protected]> Date: 2/19/17 4:56 PM (GMT-07:00) To: norway <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [NOR] Books: Norwegians in America Name changes were common, My grandfather went from Georgsen to Karlsen, to Michelsen, back to Karlsen and settled on Michelsen,:} ----- Original Message ----- From: "mgunderson" <[email protected]> To: "norway" <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, February 19, 2017 6:37:59 PM Subject: Re: [NOR] Books: Norwegians in America I'm sorry, the Hans Halvorson was a typo on my part. I don't find a Halvor Halvorson from Nøtterøy parish, Vestfold fylke in any of the 5 volumes which covers up through 1850.   I'm confused that Halvor and Ole don't have the same patronimic. To that end, I also checked Halvor Anderson, but also came up empty. However, the library has been closed for a few years now.  All the books are packed away, and they have no idea what they're going to about the building. Vol. 2 & 3 of Ulvestad's books consist mostly of indices of names with references, sometimes mini-bios. Who are you looking for? For anyone else interested, all of these books are now on sale at the Astri My Astri web site.  Gourley is prompt in sending out books once they are ordered.  I got mine a week or less after ordering.  [I have no business interest in Astri My Astri, nor do I know the owner; I'm just saying my experiences in ordering books from her web site were entirely positive.] http://www.astrimyastri.com/products/norwegians-in-america-their-history-and -record-3-volume-set http://www.astrimyastri.com/products/norwegians-in-america-some-records-of-t he-norwegian-emigration-to-america http://www.astrimyastri.com/products/history-of-the-norwegian-settlements-a- translated-and-expanded-version-of-the-1908-de-norske-settlementers-historie -and-the-1930-den-siste-folkevandring-sagastubber-fra-nybyggerlivet-i-amerik a-by-hjalmar-rued-holand Beste, Bev On 2/17/2017 6:54 PM, John Everson wrote: Does anyone own the 3 volume set of books from AstriMyAstri.com - Norwegians in America, their History and Record (years 1825-1913), 3-Volume-Set by Martin Ulvestad?
