I have been searching "all over" trying to find what happened to Hilma Marie Augusta Hilstad, born Velfjord, Helgeland Oct 13, 1880. She got two daughters in Norway 1905 and 1907, both adopted to other families in Norway (Trondheim and Bjarkøy). She was not married. In 1914 she emigrated to Chicago with sister Anna. Emigration records said travelling to sister Inga Halseth in Chicago. I have now found what I think, or at least hope!!! is my Hilma, married to Paul Olson and died in Chicago 1938. Is there anyone who can do a lookup for me to confirm that this is the right person? Death information has correct birthday, but one year off from exact year. Would there be an obit or other information available? Or maybe a marriage record? census?
