    3. Hi Linda, Ancestral Quest (AQ) is just one of many genealogical programs. FTM is also a genealogical program. RootsMagic is another one. The company that makes AQ is the same one that made and maintained PAF for the Mormons. It is sort of a beefed up PAF.
