    3. Hi Linda, If I understand what you want, it is essentially a modified Family Tree Maker program that would be extremely expensive. I don't know anyone who could do it, and I would be cautious about dealing with anyone who says they could do it cheaply. I have never used Family Tree Maker but genealogical programs have to be pretty much the same, with different ways of doing the bells and whistles. I think there might be a good chance you could do what you want within the FTM program. Now this is sort of a nonsensical statement because I really don't know enough about the details of what you want. However, I think I might be able to use the features available within the Ancestral Quest (AQ) program that I use. There may be fields to collect information that you don't use because you have no interest in them, such as Confirmation, Bar Mitzva, Bat Mitzvah, or even Circumcision.along with many others that exist in AQ. There may be a way to change the field name to Died Before 65 of Alz.. If there isn't you can still use the field as you will know what it really contains. AQ has the ability to attach any number of Events to an individual's record. You can add an event to the Event List and define what data to collect for each event. For example, I could add an event "Died Before 65 of Alz" and identify what data I want to collect such as death date, first signs of Alz, who noticed the signs, treatments tried, treatment results, when first tested, who tested, etc. I could then use the Report capability of AQ to define a report giving the names of those who died before 65 and get a listing. Similar events could be defined for whatever you want to know,.tailored to the reports you wish to produce. I hope you get the idea. The more I think about it the more I think it could be solved with adding events and producing tailored reports. You might find someone who is expert on FTM who could help you, but it would probably require some long phone calls to define what you really want. Right now you have a general idea of what you want, but defining the details of exactly what you want will take some time. I hope this is of some use to you. Get back to me with any questions. Neil

    1. [NOR] Alz software FTM or AQ
    2. Thank you Neil!  I appreciate y our time to help me think this thru as well as to offer more help after I consider what you have already mentioned. Is AQ part of FTM?   That's my first question. 3. Linda -- You might download the free version of RootsMagic - called RootsMagic Essentials. You can play with it and see if it meets your needs. You can find a link to it here -- http://www.rootsmagic.com/ Joy On 4/24/2017 8:30 PM, [email protected] wrote: > Thank you Neil!
