This request is because I'm working with some families who have the early onset gene and thus get Alzheimer's at a young age. In part, I'm creating a visual one-page report showing several generations, and flagging those with the gene, indicating dates of birth and death for those who have the gene / disease / and will likely die very young of Alz. Does any one know of a computer software that could do this? I need not only a visual chat but also a variety of icons so that I can demonstrate both those with the gene, and those who died without the medical confirmation of the cause, going back to perhaps 1700 or so. Linda... A simple excel spread sheet might accomplish the job on one page. Names separated by generations in the first column and other columns to identify births/deaths, male/female, age at death, Alz genes (Yes or No) and any other matters you think are useful. Unless I am missing something I do not see what features a genealogy program would add to the simple list you want to develop.
