    3. No, but you could look for his birth and christening in the digitized Frosta church books, since it is given in the 1865 census that he was born in Frosta. 3. Jerry - If you're lucky, the names of Mortinus and Ingeborg's fathers will be listed in the marriage record.  The eldest child living with them is a ten-year-old daughter which places their marriage ca 1853-55, and it may be that Mortinus' mother's name is the same as hers. Another census link (DA#1): http://gda.arkivverket.no/cgi-win/webcens.exe?slag=visbase&sidenr=1&filnamn=f61717&gardpostnr=631&merk=631#ovre Frosta (older spelling Frosten) is an interesting parish.  It is the ancient site of the Frostating which dates back to Viking times. There is a memorial stone at the Tinghaugen (photos included at the Wikipedia page). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frosta https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&tbm=isch&q=Frostating&chips=q:frostating,online_chips:frostatinget&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwi6-pjfpvXbAhVn44MKHZ4xAXIQ4lYIJygB&biw=1366&bih=603&dpr=1#imgrc=_ The Battle of Stiklestad took place north of Frosta, and Nidaros Cathedral (aka Domkirken) was built in Trondheim to commemorate the victory at that battle.
